SHERI BAITY
Crow's Nest Calls
Owner/Pres.
Born and raised in South Williamsport,PA the home of The Little League World Series, Sheri Baity was one of 4 children, 2 girls and 2 boys total. According to her brothers, she was the son that her Dad always wanted.
Small stream trout fishing was throughout her life, but hunting started in 1992. From groundhog, deer, PA black bear and turkey, her passion thrived to coyotes. It was easy getting lots of education hunting the coyotes living on a 250 acre dairy farm with her husband.
Sheri started in 1995 writing stories of her memorable hunts for outdoor magazines which later developed into a book, "Coyote Hunting Farm Style" in 2001. She went to work for Lohman and Mad Game Calls in 2002 owned by then Kolpin Outdoors and now by Flambeau Outdoors.
Sheri is still traveling around to Bass Pro, Cabela's and Gander Mountain stores demonstrating game calls and giving coyote hunting seminars. Her topic used, that she got from her good friend and teacher, Ronnie Robison of Texas is, "We are part-time hunters hunting the full-time hunter," are packing seminar rooms from state to state. Sheri is also calling coyotes for many private paid hunts throughout the states with great success. She is also doing paid seminars for many organizations and hunting clubs across the northeast.
Sheri is extremely passionate when it comes to hunting coyotes. She wants to be able to pass on to others especially to the youth, what has taken her some time to learn. She makes sure to let people know that 1. There are no ABC's of coyote calling and hunting and 2. I will be learning until the day I die. Sheri has taken well over 100 Pennsylvania coyotes before she stopped counting over 10 years ago. She has hunted coyotes in PA, MT, NY, TX, AZ, WV and VA with hopes to keep adding more states to the list. Since she no longer counts the kills, she will safely say that her ratio is 1 out of 5 stands she is successful for the Northeast.
Her weapon of choice has always been her Winchester Model 70 .243.
Come on in, sit a spell, grab your coffee, and talk predators. Then, let's go do some hunting or trapping!
